Thugs Interrupt APC Governor’s Speech
A group of suspected political thugs disrupted an event where the Governor of Jigawa state, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar was making a speech.
Badaru was speaking at an occasion to receive decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Birnin-Kudu local government area (LGA) of the state when the thugs struck.
The governor, who sought to know the cause of the commotion, abandoned his speech after realizing that the crowd did not want to listen or maintain order anymore.
In his short address before the interruption, the governor appealed to the party members to play the game of politics in accordance to its dictates, saying that “it was not out place to play politics without bitterness.”
The governor left the scene shortly after as everywhere went rowdy.
