This 'Unknown Disease' In Jigawa Must Be Stopped - Buhari
At least 50 children have died in Jigawa State as a result of a strange disease that is ravaging communities.
To address the issue, the President on Wednesday directed the Minister of Heath, Professor Isaac Adewole, to investigate reports of an 'unknown disease'.
In a statement by the spokesman for the President, Garba Shehu, he directed the Minister to deploy all the necessary machinery to combat the outbreak of the disease reported in Gidan Dugus village of Wangara district, Dutse Local Government Area.
President Buhari had called Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State on Tuesday evening to find out the details of the incident.
He commiserated with the governor and the families of the victims.

The President also gave an assurance that the Federal Government would provide the necessary support to contain the spread.
