This Delta State Governorship Aspirant Believes He Can Rescue The State
A governorship aspirant in Delta State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Leroy Edozien, says he is offering the people of Delta State something new and different.
He believes that his political party could rescue the State from the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he claimed has dashed the people's hopes with unfulfilled promises.
"Our people have lost hope in politicians and the political process.
"They no longer trust most of the current breed of politicians, and many do not bother to vote. We must give the people new hope," he said.
The governorship aspirant also dropped an advice for all political parties, including the APC, insisting that "if we present old-style and recycled attitudes, personalities and policies, we won’t go far with the electorate".
Highlighting what he was offering his party, he said: "I offer the party just what it needs to re-ignite passion among the electorate.
"I am the new Personality that our party needs – one with unalloyed integrity, impeccable technocratic credentials and leadership competencies.
"As a medical doctor and a doctor of Law, I have developed the breadth of vision that effective leadership calls for.
"I offer a new Approach to politics: replacing self-interest politics with ‘politics of service and development’.
"I offer new Thinking, with emphasis on integration, implementation and sustainability.
"I offer new Hope, an attribute that will convert passive citizens into active participants in political and socio-economic development," he further wrote in a statement he released on Friday.
