It is not everyone wearing military uniform that is a military man and this story of what happened in Benue State will help you understand better. 

The military shared images of a dead person in military camouflage and said he was a robber and not an official of the Nigerian Army. 

In a statement on Sunday, the Nigerian Army said gallant Troops of Operation ZENDA killed armed robbers in Benue State.

The suspected robbers were killed at about 3.30 a.m. on September 30 by troops of Operation ZENDA who on mobile patrol who engaged them in a shoot out along Oukpo - Apa - Otukpa highway.

"During a search of the area at dawn one of the Robbers kitted in military camouflage was found dead.

"A locally made revolver and 2 cartridges were also recovered.

"Troops are still searching the bushes along the area for others who may have escaped with gunshot wounds," the statement posted on the Twitter page of the Nigerian Army read. 

According to the Army, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai, commended the troops and urged them not to relent in their efforts towards making Benue State free from all forms of criminality.
