The Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has challenged the government for not ending insurgency in some part of the country.

CAN frowned at the failure of security agencies to end sustained killings by Boko Haram terrorists, herdsmen, armed bandit and kidnappers.

Speaking at CAN's Secretariat on Sunday, Rev. Philip Mika said herdsmen, bandits, gunmen, and others had mowed down more than 300 people in cold blood in some local government areas of Benue state.
