Suspected Mastermind Of Jan 1 Murders In Rivers State Killed
The man who is suspected to be the mastermind of the bloodbath in Rivers State on January 1, 2018, has been killed.
Don Wani was suspected to be behind the brutal murder of 23 persons in Omoku, Rivers State.
A security source confirmed that he was killed in a combined operation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Army at a border town between Rivers and Imo states.

The source said the development happened at about 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The Rivers Director of DSS, Tosin Ajayi, declined comment on the information when contacted by a NAN correspondent.
“No comment for now,” he said.
Just after crossover night service between December 31, 2017 and January 1, 2018, there was tears and wailing in Omoku main town, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State as bandits kill over 23 persons.
It was gathered that over 26 persons were shot in the attack, 14 persons died on the spot, some others died in the hospital.
