The PDP in Ogun state are in disarray, while the APC are also fighting battles of their own with the primaries held by both parties having ended in division.

The beneficiary of this broken homes might just be the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the race for the governorship seat in the state.

Their governorship candidate, Prince Gboyega Isiaka just got an important endorsement of his bid to succeed Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Ogun ADC leadership formally presented Isiaka and his running mate, Mrs Olabisi Okeowo-Bolade, to former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in Abeokuta and the man expressly endorsed him.

Obasanjo said his action was hinged on the need for Ogun West to produce the governor in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice in the state.

He also described Isiaka as a “good, credible and worthy candidate,” and that he believed in him to succeed incumbent governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, in 2019.

For him, Isiaka is the only candidate worthy of the exalted seat of governor among those jostling for the position.

However, OBJ knows he has only one vote and the final say belongs to the citizens with PVC. He urged the electorate to be discerning and fair in evaluating candidates for the election.

Isiaka had contested the governorship twice. Will he be third time lucky? Fingers crossed.
