Francisca Ordega is pulling her weight in the top Women's Soccer League in the United States, the NWSL.

The Nigerian star this weekend scored her third goal of the current campaign and it proved vital as her team Washington Spirits were able to secure an away point; playing out a 1-1 draw against Chicago Red Stars.

Ordega scored just before halftime to help the Washington Spirit scrape a 1-1 tie on the road against the Chicago Red Stars.

Chicago were the favorite for the late Saturday night tie, but couldn’t create much against a stubborn Spirit side.

Chicago’s lone goal of the match came via a Christen Press penalty kick late in the second half.

Having secured an away win, Ordega and her teammates will hope to build on the momentum as they face the Portland Thorns on June 24 in the next round of games.
