The Super Eagles may have extra motivation to beat Cameroon in Friday’s World Cup qualifying game.

Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr told the media that he and his invited players have vowed to win the match day 3, FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 game against Cameroon’s ‘Indomitable Lions’ for sick goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme.

During Wednesday’s media chat at the team’s Le Meridian Resort, Uyo, Rohr said that the entire team is behind the shot stopper who is been treated for leukaemia.

“We are all behind our team mate and brother, Carl Ikeme and this match will be won for him. We expect a difficult game but we have the youth and experience to overcome the tough tackling Cameroonians,” stated Rohr.

Also speaking, captain of the senior national team, Mikel John Obi said, “I am very happy to be back in the team and wish to lead the team to a great victory for our colleague, Carl Ikeme. I can never be tired of representing my country in as much as I can still play.”

The game will kick off at on Friday.
