There was no movement for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Thursday by the world football governing body.

The Eagles are rooted in the 41st position which they also occupied in the February edition of the monthly rankings.

By extension, Nigeria also did not make any movement in the Africa ranking as they maintained 7th position on the continent.

Reigning African champions and Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers group mate, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, moved up one spot from 33rd to 32nd. They are third behind Egypt and Senegal in Africa.

Nigeria’s other World Cup qualifying group opponents, Algeria and Zambia, are currently 50th and 90th respectively. Algeria retained their position, Zambia moved up one spot.

The Super Eagles 2019 AFCON qualifying opponents South Africa, Seychelles, and Libya didn't fair too well in the latest ranking.

South Africa and Libya maintained their 62nd and 92nd positions respectively, while Seychelles dropped to 187.

Globally, there were no changes in the top 10 positions as Argentina (1st), Brazil (2nd), Germany(3rd), Chile (4th), Belgium(5th), France(6th), Colombia(7th), Portugal(8th), Uruguay(9th), and Spain(10th) maintained their previous positions.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 6 April 2017.
