After playing football for 13 years in Italy, Joel Obi is set to exit the country. Turkey may be his next destination.

Obi has played for Inter Milan, Parma, Torino and Chievo.

The Super Eagles midfielder is linked with a loan move to Turkish side, Alanyaspor.

The 27-year-old has made 11 appearances from the 19 games played for the Donkeys and scored once in the Serie A this season.

According to a report on Turkish media outlet Obi is currently in talks with Alanyaspor with a deal expected to be agreed before the end of the winter transfer window.

Obi has made 117 Serie A appearances scoring eight goals. He also made eight appearances in the UEFA Champions League and six in the Europa League for Inter Milan.

He made his debut for Nigeria in 2011 against Sierra Leone in Lagos and has featured 11 times for the three-time African champions.

Obi was also part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but was an unused substitute at the tournament.
