Super Eagles Get New Date For Burkina Faso Friendly
After the Burkina Faso-Nigeria Failed Show in London, it seems plans are being made to compensate the fans.
Super Eagles Technical Adviser Genort Rohr has confirmed Friday, May 26 as the new date the Eagles will take a go at the Etallons in a friendly to be played in Paris, France.
The Eagles gaffer, who interestingly had previously handled the Burkinabe, says he is very much optimistic that the Burkina Faso team will not suffer the same fate that saw them fail to honour the earlier March 27 date.
In the meantime, Rohr has hinted that he would be using the May friendly to take a closer look at some of his new recruits including Chelsea's, Ola Aina and Arsenal loanee, Chuba Akpom.
The youngsters trained with the Nigerian national team in March, took part in a practice game between Team A and Team B at the Hive Stadium.
“We have seen the likes of Ola Aina, Tyronne Ebuehi Bazee, and Chuba Akpom in London,” Rohr told Super Sport
Nigeria have been grouped along with the Bafana Bafana, Libya and Seychelles in the race for the next Africa Cup of Nations.
