Who does the cap fit?

Getting to shine brightly has been a herculean task for troubled Nigeria Professional Football League side Sunshine Stars.

They have hired a third coach in one season.

The Akure Gunners, who formerly were seen as title contenders and even campaigning for honours in the CAF Champions League, are now battling with relegation.

But they believe the bleeding will stop following the arrival of former Nigeria international Duke Udi.

The former Nigeria international had been on the books of National League side, Osun United, but will join Sunshine on Monday as head coach.

Udi replaces another former Nigeria international, Austin Eguavoen, who left the Akure-based club less than one month in charge over disagreements on player recruitment among other issues.

Sunshine are currently struggling in the ongoing Nigeria league season and sit 17th on the table, meaning they are in the drop zone and faces real danger of being relegated from the top flight at the end of the season.
