Stephen Keshi Stadium To Host Super Eagles Matches
Former Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi may be dead, but his legacies continue to live.
The stadium hosting the 21st African Senior Athletics Championship in Asaba has been named after the 2013 AFCON winning coach.
And now there are plans to bring national team matches to the facility to keep it in regular use.
Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa told journalist during an inspection visit that the Nigeria Football Federation has been contacted to bring football games to the 20,000-capacity stadium.
“We are talking to the Nigeria Football Federation to bring some matches here.
“We just want to make sure we keep the stadium in regular use.
The African Senior Athletics Championship tagged Asaba 2018 will run from August 1 – 5.
