2pm - It's a wrap guys. It has been a fun day with Peak Milk at the World Milk Day celebration here in Lagos, Nigeria. To the youngsters Peak Milk says aim for greatness never settle for less - 'It's In You".

1:48pm - In continuation of Peak Milk's support to improve the quality of subjects being taught and the method adopted by teachers - 4 Samsung Galaxy tabs have been presented to each of the top 10 contesting schools. They also received HP InkJet Printers

1:36pm - 1st place and the GRAND PRIZE WINNER IS - Whitefield high school - CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1:31PM - 2nd place goes to - Susan Memorial School - They won the N300k cash prize.

1:29pm - Finally the results are in. 3rd place goes to -  Birrel Avenue Secondary School - They have earned the N150K

1:14pm - The judges are working hard to collate the scores awarded to each contesting school. It looks too close to call as they all did exceptionally well and demonstrated true sportsmanship.

12:47pm - Food tasting is coming to a close and the judges are meeting to decide who the winners are. In the meantime, it's raise a spoon moment with peak.

12:30pm - While the judges were compiling the results, Toyin Abraham had one magical moment on the dance floor with these lovely children.


12:22pm - The judges are on their feet and it's time to taste the meals prepared - See Nollywood Actress and producer, Toyin Abraham tasting. I wonder what she thinks of the meals? She is gorgeously dressed in Peak Milk's colours - Shades of Blue.

12:14pm - More contestants are submitting the finished goodies. Plates of rice and sauce; eba and egusi, etc. These meals look sizzling.

12:09pm - It's a meal of rice served with a drink - this is another interpretation of the instruction given by the judges. These kids can COOK!

12:04pm - More delicacies are still being served. Hmmmm. Wish our eyes could do the tasting. Lol! But they seem worried about what their co-competitors are doing right?

12pm  - And lunch is served!!! I am salivating just like you are. And YES! the children cooked it all on their own without any adult supervision.

11:39am - Cooking competition still ongoing. Keen members of the audience look on with anxiety. Will their school win or lose? The winners will take home N500k, 1st runner up N300k and third place N150k

11:16am - Cooking contest begins. These children are focused on getting it right the first time. 

10:58am - Managing director of Friesland Wamco Nigeria Mr. Ben Lagnat in a welcome address said over 500 schools participated in the contest before the final 10 were selected for today's grand finale.

10:17am - The hall is full and its shows time!!! May the best team win.

10:03am - Some competing school are ready for the contest. They have arranged their cooking utensils and look set for action!

9:53am - Well attended event, guests and students are seated while they are being served the best Milk and good music.

8:44am - More schools are arriving while others are setting up for their experiment which would be on display.

8:30am - It's also the Pecadomo Nutrition Contest. 10 schools will be competing for the ultimate prize. The rest have been invited to learn about the importance of Milk to our daily growth.

8:22am - They are being served nice, warm cups of milk.

8:15am - Students and pupils from various schools are arriving at the venue.
