Governors of the South East states on Wedneady met with the self acclaimed leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, took place at the  the residence of the Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

All the five governors from the region were present at the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu, the father of the IPOB leader.

It was gathered that the call by IPOB for boycott of the November 18 Anambra governorship election topped the agenda of the meeting.

This is the first meeting Kanu is holding with the governors and comes after he had rebuffed several attempts to meet with the state executives.
