In spite of the campaign against over-speeding, many Nigerian drivers just won’t listen!

Six innocent passengers have lost their lives with four more still battling to save theirs due to this.

The avoidable tragedy occurred on the Lagos-Sagamu expressway on Monday at about 2:12 pm, according to the Ogun Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr Clement Oladele.

Oladele said that a Nissan Quest van with registration number FKJ 297 AJ coming from Ikorodu to Ibadan rammed into a moving Iveco truck due to excessive speed.

“The four injured persons are receiving treatment at the Sagamu General Hospital while the corpses had been deposited at the morgue,” he said.

As the FRSC has always done, he advised motorists to desist from excessive speed, especially during the rainy season.

What beats our imagination is why it is so hard for some Nigerians to listen to advise, even when it is for their own good.
