Is the saying true that a government that fails to plan ahead, plans to fail in the present and future?

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, says the meeting of Nigeria's Federal Executive Council was called off "due to the inability of the government to prepare for the weekly meeting due to the Sallah holiday".

The minister said that “the two-day public holidays declared for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations left little or no time to prepare for the weekly meeting.”

President Buhari was at last week’s FEC meeting, which was his first in over three months.

This is the second time the FEC meeting would not hold since President Buhari returned to the country on August 19 after his medical trip to the UK.

On August 23, he had, in place of the meeting, received the reports on the probe of the director-general of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), both of whom are on suspension.

During his timeless vacation, the meeting which was presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo without interruptions.
