Fulham have announced the signing of Sheyi Ojo from Liverpool on a season-long loan move.

The deal for the player, who is of Nigerian descent, was announced on Wednesday by Fulham who are seeking promotion from the Championships to the Premier League this season.

Ojo, who can operate across the front line, came through MK Dons’ academy before joining Liverpool in a multi-million pound deal at the age of 14 in November 2011.

He has spent time training with the Dons’ first team prior to the switch.

He will now link up with another Nigerian playing for Fulham, Sone Aluko.

An official of Fulham, Tony Khan said signing Sheyi was a big plus for the club

"I'm delighted to welcome Sheyi Ojo to the Fulham Football Club. I've had the pleasure of spending time with Sheyi and his family, and I've seen firsthand what a tremendous work ethic Sheyi has both on and off the pitch.

"He possesses fantastic physical talents and also carries himself with poise and class, and I know that he's going to be a great addition to our squad."

Still eligible to play for Nigeria, Ojo has represented England at every age group from Under-16s to Under-20s, and was a part of history this summer as England won the U20 World Cup.
