The Republic of Serbia, one of the countries that has already qualified for the Russia 2018 World Cup have indicated interest in engaging the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly.

The Super Eagles already have a date with Argentina, next month in Russia and duo of Germany and England have also joined the waiting list.

The President of the Serbia-Nigeria-Chamber of Commerce, Temi Gold told journalists that talks are already ongoing for the workable date for the proposed friendly.

He said: "I can assure you that we are in contact with the NFF President, Mr Melvin Amaju Pinnick, he has assured us that we can work together.

“We are also talking to the Technical Committee Chairman, Barr. Chris Green, and we are getting closer," he added

The NFF President, himself confirmed to the media that all doors are open for the Super Eagles to play friendlies and he has been talking to all parties. 

Serbia are presently ranked 38th in the world; three places higher than the Super Eagles who are occupying the 41st position.
