Senate Suspends Nigerian Peace Corps Bill
The passage of the Nigerian Peace Corps Bill will have to wait a little longer as it has been suspended by the Upper legislative chamber.
The bill was stepped down over allegations of fraud in the organisation's recruitment exercise which is being prosecuted in court.
The bill divided senators at plenary with some for and many others against the suspension.
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives had separately passed the bill before the harmonisation of its provisions.
