Senate Adjourns Plenary Over Rep Sugar’s Death
The Senate, on Tuesday, adjourned plenary and suspended all other legislative activities in honour of late Rep Temitope Olatoye Sugar.
In line with the tradition of the Senate, the lawmakers suspended their plenary to honour the lawmaker.
Senators are to resume plenary and full legislative activities on Wednesday.
Members of the upper chamber just resumed from a two-week election recess, which enabled them to participate in the 2019 governorship and state House of Assembly elections.
The Senate is set to commence the debate on the general principles of the 2019 budget presented by President Muhammadu Buhari last December.
