The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN had some Deputy Governors who had since been appointed by President Buhari but had been unable to resume duty because the Senate refused to confirm them.

But they have now been confirmed and the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, has approved their portfolios.

Emefiele approved the redeployment of Okwy Nnana from the Financial System Stability Directorate to the Economic Policy Directorate.

The governor also approved the deployment of Mrs. Aishah Ahmad to the Financial System Stability Directorate, while Mr. Edward Adamu was put in charge of Corporate Services.

Mr. Adebayo Adelabu retains his portfolio as Deputy Governor, Operations Directorate.

The redeployment was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Acting Director, Communications, CBN, Isaac Okorafor.

The apex bank in the statement said the redeployment followed the assumption of duties of two new deputy governors on March 28, 2018.
