A young boy believed to be in his 20s has been reportedly shot dead by a Nigerian Navy officer.

Amadi Chukwuemeka Princewill was shot in the chest, his body taken to Holy Rosary Hospital, Emekuku and dumped there by the alleged killer.

A twitter account holder, Odogwo nwoke (@NkemEgan), posted some photos and narrated that Princewill was hanging out with his friends when the naval officer, alongside one Mr Nick Anyanwu, the current community chairman and a re-election candidate of Ndegbelu community in Awka, Imo state, arrived the venue.

Shortly after, the naval officer started harassing people and Princewill tried to leave the place but was forced back by the officer, who later shot him in the chest.

“This is Amadi Chukwuemeka Princewill.

"On Saturday 26th of May, he went on a sit out with his friends. While there, one Mr Nick Anyanwu (current community chairman and a re-election candidate) came to the sit out spot with a naval officer and started harassing them.

“On seeing that his harrasser is a uniformed man, Chukwuemeka attempted to walk out on him but was dragged back by the naval officer and in the ensuring meelee was shot in the chest, killing him.

“The naval officer took him to holy rosary hospital, emekuku and dumped him there.

“Right now both the naval officer and the Mr Nick Anyanwu current chairman of Ndegbelu community in Akwa IMO state, are at large.

Odogwo nwoke is demanding justice for the slain Princewill, who’s Facebook profile showed he studied Economics at the University of Nigeria Nsukka.

Meanwhile, friends and family members are mourning the sad death of Princewill.
