Arsene Wenger is living Arsenal and the announcement of his exit as the manager of the football club is drawing congratulatory messages already.

Even a rival football clubs are wishing him well in the remaining games of the season.

Manchester United has a special message for Wenger though, one that further establishes the rivalry between the two English Premiership sides.

In a message on Friday, Manchester United wrote:

In simple terms, Manchester United wishes the Arsenal's manager well, but also established that they would not give the French man an easy run in the 60th game between them.  

Wenger will be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season and for some fans of the club who had called for his exit, today is a Good Friday.

After about 22 years in charge of the London club, Wenger is taking a bow, even a year before his latest contract was due to expire.

"I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years," said Wenger. "I managed the club with full commitment and integrity.

"To all the Arsenal lovers, take care of the values of the club."

Arsenal say a successor will be appointed "as soon as possible".
