See How Game Of Thrones Plan To 'Deal' With Hackers
Last year, episodes of Season 7 of Game Of Thrones were illegally downloaded "more than a billion times" according to anti-piracy firm, Muso.
The George RR Martin adaptation was struck by several leaks in which hackers shared scripts, episodes, sensitive documents, and even the actors' phone numbers.
So, HBO came up with a plan to beat the hackers at their game; after all they are the creators of Game Of Thrones.
Their game plan is to film "multiple" endings for the Game of Thrones season eight finale in a bid to confuse hackers and put the plug on leaks.
And now, Emilia Clarke (Dragon Queen) seems to have confirmed this by insisting her co-stars are filming alternate endings and that she doesn't even know which will be the "real" one.
During a recent interview she said, "Not only might they (co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss) be shooting fake endings, but they aren't cluing the cast into which ones are real or not,"
"I think that they don't even trust us." she added.
According to sources, the eighth season of Game of Thrones will wrap up filming in December 2018 and will return in April 2019.
Will the hackers really 'hear word'?
