President Muhammadu Buhari and a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar have pitched their tents against each other ahead of the 2019 Presidential election.

But the former Vice President has some well wishes for the President on his return from the United Kingdom after a medical trip. 

President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria on Friday night after seeing his doctor in the United Kingdom.

After he returned from the three-day trip, the former Vice President, who had left the President’s party, the All Progressives Congress, some months ago, welcomed him back.

Atiku in a tweet on his Twitter page also wished the President well.

“I welcome the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, back to the country from his medical trip to the UK. I pray that God continues to grant him good health and vitality.”

Atiku had pitched his tent with the Peoples Democratic Party and declared his interest to run in the 2019 Presidential election.

President Buhari has also declared his interest to run for a second term in office.
