SCIENCE STUDENTS: Teenagers Now Get High On Used Sanitary Pads?
Diapers and used sanitary pads are the new high for 'science students' in Indonesia.
Indonesian teenagers boil used sanitary pads and drink the resulting liquid in attempts to get high.
The Indonesian National Drug Agency (BNN) said the chemicals in the sanitary pads give those who drink the concoction a feeling of “flying” and hallucinations.
Young people are also boiling both clean and dirty diapers in the same process, the BNN added.
Police in recent weeks arrested teenagers said to be high from the “sanitary pad formula.”
"The teenagers take the used pads they take from the trash were put in boiling water. After it cools down, they drink it," Senior Commander Suprinarto, head of the BNN said.
A 14-year-old boy who admitted to getting ‘drunk’ by boiling sanitary pads described the resulting beverage as ‘bitter’, and claims that his friends drink it ‘morning, afternoon and evening’.
Next time your child's diaper or a lady's sanitary pad goes missing, it might just be another science student looking for the next 'high.'
