SCANDALOUS: Former Judge Arrested For Alleged N220m Fraud
A judge who is supposed to be the gate keeper in criminal issues and also pass judgement on criminals is having allegations of fraud dandling on his neck.

Justice Kabiru Auta, is a former Kano State High Court Judge and he has been arrested for an alleged 220 million Naira fraud.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) arrested Justice Auta on Tuesday.
He was detained for some hours and a statement by the Spokesperson of the commission, Mrs Rasheedat Okoduwa, said the suspect had honoured an invitation by the commission over allegations of criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery before he was detained.
Auta, according to her, allegedly conspired with some other persons to defraud a Kano businessman, Bashir Yakasai, of 220 million Naira.
"The matter was referred to the commission after it had been reported to the National Judicial Council which had constituted a committee to investigate the allegations.

"The amount involved had been fraudulently obtained from Yakasai by Auta and his accomplice, Bashir Sufi, on the pretext that they were acting on behalf of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Aloma Mukhtar.
"Auta in his statement to the Commission disclosed that he made a part repayment of 20 million Naira to Yakasai during the course of the matter,” she said.
Justice Auta was released on administrative bail and further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
