Saudi Arabia Ends 35-year Cinema Ban WIth Black Panther
After a little over three decades, cinema has returned to the very conservative Saudi Arabia.
The first movie that locals will be shown in the many new cinemas is Marvel's hit, Black Panther.
Black Panther opens the door, to the end of extremely conservative measures that were put in place in the 80s.
The change came after a reform campaign to lift the ban on cinemas by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Black Panther would not be the first movie shown in public after the ban was lifted, as the animation, Emoji Movie, takes that glory.
But Black Panther will be showing at the new AMC theater on April 18 in Riyadh.

AMC reportedly hopes to open as many as 40 cinemas in Saudi Arabia in the next five years, and 100 by the year 2030.
The record-breaking film is currently the tenth highest-grossing film of all time.
