The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has met behind closed doors with the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

The meeting came at the heel of the police invitation extended to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, over the alleged link with Offa robbery suspects.

A link to the nation’s number three citizen had sternly denied.

The close-door meeting, held at the Vice President's wing of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, lasted over an hour.

Also in attendance were the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and the Director-General of the Department of State Security, Lawal Daura.

After the meeting, the IGP refused to speak to State House correspondents.

When approached for an interview, Idris directed the journalists to the Aide-De-Camp of the Vice President.
