Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared that he would accord traditional rulers the respect and cooperation in a bid to develop the state.

The governorship aspirant spoke on Tuesday when he visited some first class traditional rulers as part of his meeting with leaders in the state.

Sanwo- Olu was in the palaces of the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Ojomu of Ajiran, Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye (Sateru II).

He told the monarchs that they are key to the mobilization of majority of the people to promote grassroots development.

He stated that no Lagos indigene or resident will be left out of his development policies if elected as governor.

Making reference to the development plans he intends to execute if elected by the good people of Lagos, Sanwo-Olu said the downtrodden in the society and the poorest of the poor masses will feel the impact of governance.

He explained that the downtrodden and those at the end of the food-chain are the groups at the centre of his development agenda.

According to him: "My administration will unite all sections of Lagos State to join hands to move  the state forward.

"I will ensure every stakeholder contributes to the development of our beloved state.”
