It looks like Grammy-winning singer, Sade Adu might be up for an Oscar.

The British-Nigerian superstar clearly does not want to miss out on this opportunity.

After releasing her first song in 7 years, "Flower of the Universe", for Ava Duvernay’s A Wrinkle In Time, she’s now set to release another song for Steve McQueen's upcoming thriller, Widows.

Sade’s new song for the film is  is titled “The Big Unknown”.

The film is a follow up to McQueen's 12 Years A Slave, which deservedly took home the Oscar for 'Best Picture' in 2014.

Based on the 1983 British miniseries of the same name, Widows follows the story of four women (Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Rodriquez and Elizabeth Debicki) who plan a heist to repay the debt their dead husbands left behind.

Widows is already being tipped to be one of the year’s biggest Oscar players, so  it’s safe to say that Sade’s "The Big Unknown" could pick the award for  ‘Best Original Song’.

'Widows' is set to hit cinemas on November 16.
