Tragedy struck in Agbado Community in Gboyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State as a middle aged man hanged another man in a farm settlement in the community.

The culprit, simply identified as Toyin was said to have called his victim, a commercial motorcyclist, in the community and secured his service to transport him to his farm which is located in front of a factory in the community near Ode Ekiti.

The company is owned by a popular All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in the sate, Senator Gbenga Aluko.

A source in the community told Bounce News that Toyin forcefully overpowered his victim and forcefully hanged him with a rope and tried to dump his corpse inside an already dug grave in the farm settlement.

The source added that Toyn’s secret was exposed when workers in the factory heard the agonizing cry of the victim repeatedly and decided to check what was happening.

They met Toyin dumping the corpse of his victim into the freshly dug hole and apprehended him and later handed him over to the nearest police station in the area.

The victim’s corpse has since been deposited in the mortuary while investigation is ongoing.

The victim’s wife according to the source is heavily pregnant.

When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Caleb Ikechukwu, said he was yet to be briefed on the development.

He promised to get back once he was briefed.
