The Super Eagles will arrive the city of Volgograd on Thursday ahead of Friday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup fixture against Iceland.

The game will be played at the Volgograd beginning from 6pm local time on Friday, with Nigeria needing a win after suffering 2-0 defeat to Croatia in their first game on Saturday.

The Nigerian team is expected to train in Volgograd on Thursday evening to have a feel of the pitch.

Weather in Volgograd is expected to be a clement one on Friday at 34 degrees celsius, which will suit the Nigerian players.

It has been an ideal weather for the Super Eagles this week with the outside temperature at 32 and 34 degrees celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Nigeria are placed bottom of Group B, with Croatia topping the log on three points, while Argentina and Iceland have one point each.
