Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has put behind him the disappointment of Nigeria crashing out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria lost two, and won one of their group stage matches, with their three points not able to qualify them for the Round of 16.

Ndidi, who played all three matches for the Super Eagles is now backing England, who also has Leicester City teammates Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy in their squad, to go all out and lift the trophy.

"Since all the African countries are out of the tournament, I tip England to win the World Cup,” he told the Guardian.

Ndidi has been given additional time off before joining his team-mates for pre-season training, with the rest of the squad in Evian-Les-Baines, northern France.

The 21-year-old joined the Foxes in 2016 from Belgian club Genk and has made 61 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.
