Russia 2018: Kane Bangs Hattrick As England Destroy Panama
Harry Kane on Sunday became the third English man to score a hat trick at the World Cup.
The Three Lions Captain contributed three goals in the 6-1 annihilation of Panama in their second group F game at the ongoing World Cup in Russia.
Before Kane, the other two English players privileged to score a hat trick at the World Cup are Geoff Hurst and Gary Lineker to
It wasn’t just a Kane show as John Stones added a brace of his own and Jesse Lingard also scored with a fine long-range effort to give England the emphatic win.
England took a 5-0 lead into halftime and literally took their foot off the pedal scoring one and conceding one in the second half.
In the end, a near-perfect result for England. 6-0 would have given them the edge over Belgium on goal differential, but it's still going to come down to the final match.
As for Panama, two losses don't feel good, but getting a goal is one of the best moments in the national team's history and will give them a little boost as it tries to win their finale against Tunisia.
Before today, England had never before scored more than four goals in a World Cup match.
