Russia 2018: Croatia Ends 'Russian Dreams' On Penalties
Host Russia have crashed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup after losing 4-3 to Croatia on penalties.
The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, but both sides found the back of the net during extra time which ended 2-2.
During regulation time, Russia broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through Denis Cheryshev but eight minutes later, Andrej Kramaric drew level for Croatia.
11 minutes into extra time, Domagoj Vida put Croatia in front but Mario Fernandes scored for the hosts to end the tie at 2-2 after extra time.
The game went into penalties and it was Croatia that emerged victorious. Croatia will now face England in the semis while France and Belgium will battle for the other slot.
