Nacer Chadli's 90th minute strike has shot Belgium to the quarter final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in a breathtaking 3-2 win over Japan.

Japan had taken a two goal lead within four minutes when Genki Haraguchi opened scoring just after half time.

Takashi Inui extended their lead in the 52nd minute as the Asian team were cruising to victory.

But coach Roberto Martinez made two changes, bringing Chadli and Marouane Fellaini, a move that paid off.

Jan Vertonghen reduced Belgium deficit in the 69th minute before Fellaini's header brought Belgium on lever terms.

A final minute counter attack saw Romelu Lukaku gave way for Chadli to score the winning goal a great comeback.

Belgium will now play Brazil in the quarter final.
