His former record label Eric Many filed a contempt of court case against the musician.

According to a statement signed by the label's general manager, Johnson Adumike, Ericmany were trying get an outstanding returns on investment of about N266,694,755.08 on  Runtown, since he had failed to deliver an album which the contract requires.

Under the contract if there is outstanding money or album by the contract period which ended on June 22, the contract requires that he extends his contract by one year.

“Runtown has neither honored the Contract Period nor the Option Period.

Following our application, Abuja High Court made an Interim Order on 10th May 2018, barring Runtown from any performance or recording of any song outside our Contract until the issues are sorted out by Court” Adumike said.

Days after releasing a new song titled ‘Unleash’ Eric Many filed contempt of court case against Runtown.

“If he still fails to respect court order by removing the song, we will follow up with the next steps to ensure Runtown is committed to prison, since he is not above the law.” Adumike added.

Its obvious like in the case of Kizz Daniel, Runtown’s record label woes are far from over, even after he opened a new music company in America.
