The royal wedding between 'Suits' actress, Meghan Markle and British royal, Prince Harry is upon us, and understandably, it's getting all the buzz.

Between the fact that Meghan will be the first black woman to marry into the British royal family, her status as a Hollywood actress (well, now former) and Prince Harry being 7th in line to the British throne, it's no wonder the media can't get enough of this fairy-tale wedding.

Naturally, all the stops have been pulled out for the big day. A wedding planner who spoke to CNBC estimated that the wedding would cost about $2.7 million (about N973 million); minus security which is estimated to cost $40.1 million (about N14 billion) - gotta keep all those VIPs safe.

The jury is still out on whether Meghan will stick with Ralph & Russo, the London haute couture designers who dressed her for her official engagement photos. However, we'd like to create an alternate universe where Meghan rocks a Nigerian designer for her big day, which isn't entirely far-fetched with heavyweights like Michelle Obama, Beyonce and Lupita Nyongo'o haven rocked Nigerian designers in the past.

On that note, here are 5 Nigerian designers we think would do absolute justice to Meghan's wedding dress.

1. Toju Foyeh

Toju has dressed just about everybody who's anybody in the Nigerian entertainment scene and beyond. From Adesua Etomi's traditional wedding attires to styling former South African first lady, Bongi Ngema-Zuma, Toju has got an eye for detail and is a master at creating pieces that flatter the feminine form.

2. April by Kunbi

April by Kunbi is in many ways a veteran of the Nigerian fashion and bridal wear industry. With her unapologetic flair for girly, dreamy pieces, we see April totally doing justice to a full-skirt dress dress for Meghan.

3. Deola Sagoe

Another certified veteran of the industry, Deola left fashion lovers awe-struck with her Komole Kandid series launched in 2016 which go for an upwards of 7 figures. In more recent times, Deola has made a conscious effort to position her brand not just for Nigeria's elite, but an international luxury brand. This, plus her artistry would make her a great pick for Meghan.

4. Style Temple

Sassy yet classy, Style Temple would make the perfect choice for a wedding reception dress. Arguably Abuja's most popular fashion brand, Style Temple definitely knows a thing or two about holding every eye in the room with their dramatic yet clean cuts.

5. Andrea Inyamah

From giving us swim wear fit for party gear, Andrea Inyamah has delved into bridal wear and left us breathless in her wake. Between Stephanie Coker's dreamy wedding dress to clothing sister, Somkele Iyama-Idhlama for the 2017 AMVCAs, Andrea has given us some pretty memorable dresses and a number for Meghan would be an absolute joy to behold.
