Wayne Rooney is getting all set to start all over again with Everton FC after completing a move from Manchester United over the weekend and the 'surprise' location that former England captain will be making his debut is Tanzania.

Rooney has confirmed that he would travel to Tanzania to take part in the club's first pre-season fixture later this week.

Rooney reported for his first training session with Ronald Koeman's side on Monday and later revealed that he would be part of the squad to face Gor Mahia on Thursday.

"I'm looking forward to it - it should be a good trip," Rooney told Evertontv. "It'll be nice and hopefully I'll get on the pitch and get some game-time.

"It's good when you go away with the team. It's good to be around the hotel with the players, spend more time with them and get to know them more.

"I've never been to Tanzania before, so I'm really looking forward to it," he added

Rooney, 31, is back at Everton 13 years after departing Goodison Park for a record-breaking stint at Manchester United.
