Cristiano Ronaldo has proven his doubters wrong yet again with a breathtaking and record making performance in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final.

Though the Portuguese star is preoccupied with his latest individual feat and his team’s performance, he was also quick to aim a dig at his critics.

Speaking after the game, Ronaldo said he has his sights on next season's title and reserved a word for those who choose to knock him.

"I scored two goals, am the top scorer in the Champions League again. The objective is to win next season's Champions League, it is not easy, but nothing is impossible. The people who always criticise Cristiano are going to have put their guitar back in its case.

"I have finished the season well. I am very happy as we are the first team to win two consecutive Champions Leagues, and scoring two goals. The double is another record for all these players, who deserve it." said Ronaldo in The Daily Mail

Ronaldo netted a brace – taking his career tally of goals for club and country to 600 – as Zinedine Zidane's men thrashed Juventus 4-1 in Cardiff.

The Portuguese has now lifted the European Cup four times – three times for Madrid and once for Manchester United. But he wants more glory.
