Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr was in Germany over the weekend to visit defender Leon Balogun and new invitee, Joel Bazee ahead of the two international friendly games later in the month.

Nigeria play Senegal on March 23, before taking on Burkina Faso on the 27th. Both games are scheduled for The Hive in London.

Leon Balogun was not listed in Mainz 05’s 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg. While Bazee played for Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96 in their 2-0 win over Karlsrucher SC on Saturday.

Rohr met with the players after their league matches to familiarise them with the team spirit in the Super Eagles.

If fielded in London, Bazee will be making his debut for the Super Eagles and pledging his future to Nigeria.

Bazee, who is regarded as one of the finest young talents in Germany at the moment, is born to a Nigerian father and a German mother.
