Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is looking at extending invitation to Al Ahly striker Junior Ajayi for the two international friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

Rohr, trying to assemble a strong squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, is giving players the opportunity to prove themselves.

Having scored eight goals and providing nine assists in 23 games for the Red Devils this season, Ajayi now has the opportunity to make his Super Eagles debut and prove himself.

As part of preparation for Russia 2018 World Cup, Nigeria will play Poland on March 23 in Warsaw, before taking on Serbia four days later at the Hive Stadium in England.

Ajayi is not new to the national team. He was part of the Samson Siasia’s squad that won bronze at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The 22-year-old has also won the Egyptian Premier League title, Egyptian Cup and Super Cup since joining Al Ahly.
