The on-loan Chelsea defender has been handed a late call-up to the Nigerian side ahead of their November engagements after seeing several withdrawals due to injuries.

Ogenyi Onazi and Moses Simon are injured and look set to pull out of the Eagles forthcoming matches, while Odion Ighalo has already been ruled out.

Omeruo is expected to join the Eagles squad in Casablanca, Morocco, where the team is training ahead of a final 2018 World Cup qualifier in Algeria on Friday.

The Eagles will also take on Argentina four days later in a friendly in Russia.

Omeruo, on loan at Kasimpasa in Turkey, was last involved with the national team in June, when he was an unused substitute in an AFCON 2019 qualifier against South Africa in Uyo.
