Several messages have gone out - #VoteNotFight and #voteNotWar - but it appears those are for social networks and not for real people.

In Rivers State, it appears some persons did not see those slogans that had trended on social networks.

A day after the governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) released a video of violence it claimed happened in the state during the collation of results.

Rivers is one of Nigeria's richest in terms of oil deposit and the battle for the political seats in the state is always tough one.

Rivers State is one state that has always reflected desperation on the part of politicians each time there was an election.

One would have thought that the election of 2019 would have been peaceful and different, since the PDP was the major known party to Nigerians fielding a candidate who is even the incumbent. The APC was barred from having a candidate there by the court.

But peace seems to be far from the election period.

Going by the video shared by the PDP which it claimed had officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in action.

It was an amature video, apparently shot with a mobile phone of a hidden camera.

The video had in it, some men in the outfit of operatives of SARS shooting sporadically after few minutes of argument.

The texts accompanying the video read: #NigeriaDecides2019? . Watch the video below and see how men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), shot live bullets sporadically at the Khana collation Center in Rivers State. One @OfficialPDPNig agent was gunned down and many others were injured

The police has not issued a statement on the incident, but there have been reports of violence in the state in the governorship and House of Assembly election.
