Rivers United have their backs against the wall and need to be at their very best in the home stretch if they are to beat the drop from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

In this light, the coach of the Garden City team, Stanley Eguma says they are fired up for their next game which is against seven-time league champions, Enyimba.

Rivers United over the weekend won their first away game in Sagamu against Remo Stars and for Eguma, that momentum has to be sustained when the Peoples' Elephant come calling.

"We just showed our real stuff here in Sagamu,  this is what we have been clamouring for all season and I think the position we are has brought out the best in the players" Eguma stated after the 3-1 win.

"Enyimba game any day is always a big game so we must expect a very tough game, the fact that they are also fighting for the league title will make it even more difficult but we are ready to give our best" Eguma assured.

Rivers United came out on top against Remo Stars in Sagamu prevailing 3-1 at the Gateway International Stadium.

United were deeply enmeshed in the relegation zone before kickoff and needed to produce a big performance to ease the pressure.
