Once-upon-a-time dreaded former chairman of the EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu is back in the news and it’s not for his foray into politics.

Ribadu is throwing his weight behind the EFCC in its current supremacy tussle with the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilesa, Osun state, the former EFCC boss said the anti-graft agency must continue to maintain its stance against corruption and not give in to any pressure.

Ribad, who commended the commission and its current leadership, urged it to continue its confrontation of the hydra-headed evil of graft which has consumed the fabrics of the country.

"EFCC wants to defeat this monster, they have been doing it very well, they are having sleepless nights.

“Nigerians deserve a very good EFCC and I believe this is an ongoing fight between evil and what is good for Nigeria," he said.

While stating that Nigerians must stand and support what is good for them, he maintained that EFCC is being maligned.

“They are being attacked, they are being vilified. They are attacked as if they are the ones doing bad things in Nigeria.

"If you see people fighting the EFCC, look at it critically and see what is behind it."
