Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has reacted to Anthony Joshua’s knockout victory over Alexander Povetkin at Wembley.

The Nigerian boxer did well to retain his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles in emphatic fashion with a seventh-round stoppage on Saturday, surviving an early scare.

In attendance at the fight was Mendy, who is sidelined with a metatarsal injury.
